Ronan Farrow's book "Catch and Kill" tops Amazon best-seller list
Journalist Ronan Farrow had the best selling book on Amazon ($NASDAQ:AMZN) last week, topping the charts with "Catch and Kill", which follows his reporting into the scandals about abuse of power at the highest levels of the entertainment and news industries. As of this writing, it has been dethroned by the autobiography of Sir Elton John but has managed to stave off "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", so that's something.
Here is how well Farrow's book did, right out of the gates, on Amazon when it released on the 9th.
We would venture a guess to say that when the New York Times does its best-seller lists, Farrow will make the cut. Thinknum Alternative Data tracks publically available information and compiles it over time into handy charts and graphs.
About the Data:
Thinknum tracks companies using information they post online - jobs, social and web traffic, product sales and app ratings - and creates data sets that measure factors like hiring, revenue and foot traffic. Data sets may not be fully comprehensive (they only account for what is available on the web), but they can be used to gauge performance factors like staffing and sales.
