Despite telling CNBC that it isn't hiring for its upcoming HQ2 New York headquarters, Amazon job listings in New York are up 15% since the new year. Overall hiring at Amazon is up just 3.6% for the same period.
Snap CFO Tim Stone resigned in the shadow of a Tuesday filing that said the company would post results that are "slightly favorable" to the top end of its previous guidance. After the announcement, Snap stock tumbled 8%. Stone will walk away with restricted stock units worth about 420 million. Snap's next earnings report is expected on February 5.
Members of England's House of Commons voted 432 to 202 to reject Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal, signaling a huge defeat both for May and Brexit. Over eight days of debate, 200 speeches were given by members of the House of Commons. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn called the defeat "catastrophic". May is now up for a vote of no-confidence.
