Curious as to what the hot toy or product will be this holiday season? Look no further than the $199 Nintendo ($TYO:7974) Switch Lite. This all-in-one, compact version of the altready popular Nintendo Switch game console went on sale today, and just hours into its retail availability, it's cracking the top-seller lists at both GameStop ($NYSE:GME) and Amazon ($NASDAQ:AMZN).

At GameStop, the "Zacian and Zamazenta" edition of the console cracked the retailer's top-10 at spot #7. While this version of the console — even if ordered today — will not ship until November 8, it's already the retailer's most-popular version, at least via online sales.

But other versions of the Switch Lite are available today, and they too are dashing up GameStop's sales ranks. The Turqoise version now sits at stop #14 (out of 27,160 products), the Lite Gray version at #32, and Yellow at #46, all three of which were available for store pickup as of writing.

Meanwhile at e-commerce giant Amazon, the Nintendo Switch Lite is crawling up its top-100 Video Games sales ranks.

In late July, when the Switch Lite was first available to pre-order at Amazon, the console shot up to the site's top-10, with the aforementioned Zacian and Zamazenta Edition hitting #3 out of 100. As of this week, not that the console has been released, we're seeing all versions quickly shoot back up the ranks, with the turqoise version hitting #30 as of this morning.

If there's any question whether or not Nintendo is about to have a great holiday season, we can probably put that query to rest —as long as Nintendo and its supply chain can meet demand.
