Public Storage, Inc. ($NYSE:PSA) is America's largest opreator of storage lockers. On November 28, 2018, the operator had 23,112 various forms of storage — lockers, vaults, etc. — available for rent.

We took a look at the places in America where storing your stuff costs the most — and least. At the state level, Hawaii came in at the most expensive with an average unit cost of $231.52. On the low end, Oklahoma saw an average storage unit price of just $63.37 per month.

At the city level, however, San Rafael, CA comes in at most expensive with an average unit price of $393.40. At the cheap end, Midfield, AL averaged out at just $33.75 per month (full list can be found here).
