Apple is hiring its Apple Card team - here's who

1 week ago by Joshua Fruhlinger in Trends

On March 25, Apple ($NASDAQ:AAPL) announced it would launch a credit card called (drumroll) Apple Card. It's billed as a consumer-friendly card that won't charge late or overdraft fees. It will also offer discounts for purchases of Apple products along with cash back for purchases made with Apple Pay.

Features of the card aside, Apple will reportedly launch the card this summer, and the company is busy hiring up a small team to support the product launch.

On the day of the Apple Card announcement, Apple was hiring for just one position with the term "Apple Card" in its title. But now that the cat is out of the bag, Apple has opened up 8 positions. The company has 14 individual openings for the Apple Card team, all of which — along with their job-posting dates — are listed here:

Given that the Apple Card is part of the Apple Pay product group within Apple — at least as it is currently described — it is also useful to take a look at hiring for Apple Pay at the company.

Openings for the Apple Pay group are at their highest level since 2016 at least, and appear to be on an acceleration cycle. As of this week, the company is hiring for at least 54 people for its Apple Pay team.
